It is a document issued by the carrier to the supplier in exchange for the load.This document differ from the B / L does not have the function of a Property document and this means that the load marked on it cannot be transferred (sold), and therefore the cargo can only be released to a specific consignee appointed by the supplier. If the supplier wishes to change its instructions, such requests must be made in writing and depend on the carrier’s acceptance. The sea waybill is used in place of a bill of lading when the recipient has paid for the goods in advance when the carrier knows the recipient of the cargo.
