DETAILED DESCRIPTION / RIGHTS AND DUTIES
Born for maritime transport (hence the possible translation into Italian of Franco quay of a port), it establishes that the seller is responsible for all transport costs to the port of embarkation, as well as the costs for obtaining licenses and documentation for export from the country of origin and those for customs operations always for export; with respect to the Free On Board return, any costs for placing on board the ship are excluded, to be paid by the buyer.
In the part relating to export customs operations, the FAS yield in 2000 has been changed compared to previous versions.
From the moment in which the goods are considered ready on the quay all other expenses are to be considered at the buyer’s expense, including insurance costs and the risk of loss and damage to the goods. The formulation of this delivery deadline is considered complete with the indication of the port of shipment (example F.A.S. Genova).
